For those of you have have not already heard it The Teenagers are a new band from Paris (but living in London) and along with We Are Scientists and Vampire Weekend have produced one of the catchiest albums of 2008. “Reality Check” sounds like a cross between Daft Punk, Air and The Stokes. Bearing in mind the amount of positive press that they have received over the past few months I was surprised to see them playing such an intimate venue. Live they were much rockier and harder than they are on record. Although they are not the greatest live band that I have seen recently they knew how to put on a show and pulled eight girls from the audience to sing the female backing track on their “Homecoming” song, very rude however quite charming in a adolescent way.
